Lynn Valley Trail Photography Contest: A Moment on the Trail

This year marks the 25th Anniversary of the Lynn Valley Trail.

Celebrate by submitting a photo of your favourite moment on the Trail.

Contest Period:

June 30th, 2018 to Labour Day, September 3rd, 2018

How to Enter:

1. Take a photo or choose one from your collection that depicts “A Moment on the Lynn Valley Trail.”
2. Submit your entry via email to lynnvalleytrail@gmail.com by Sept 3, 2018.

Eligibility:

• Contest is open to all — Lynn Valley Trail members and non-members alike.
• Photos must be taken on or of the Lynn Valley Trail.
• Photos should express “A moment on the Lynn Valley Trail.”
• Photos must be the original work of the entrant.
• Photos must not depict inappropriate or unsafe behaviour.
• For your own safety and to protect sensitive species and habitats, please stay on the trail at all times.
• Photos do not have to be taken within the contest period. Older photos are eligible. Photos from any season are welcome.
• Photos must be in digital JPG, PNG or GIF format. High-resolution scans of older prints are acceptable. Resolution should be high enough for web and social media use.
• Minor digital enhancement is permitted, but heavily edited or unnatural photos will be disqualified.
• Submissions may include a discreet watermark, but a watermark-free version may be requested for judging.

Finalists:

Ten contest finalists (5 adult and 5 youth) will be featured in the Lynn Valley Trail Newsletter and on our social media outlets.

Use of Photographs:

Your photographs help promote the Lynn Valley Trail for generations to explore. Thank you for helping to further our mission through your photography.

All eligible entries will be displayed digitally at our Annual General Meeting this fall and in an online gallery at lynnvalleytrail.com (including the photo, first name, and last initial), as well as on our Facebook Page.

By entering the contest, you grant The Lynn Valley Trail permission to use your photo for promotional purposes.
