The Lynn Valley Trail is the heart of our community’s outdoor life. We’re looking for dedicated volunteers to “adopt” a 1-kilometre section and help keep the path clear and beautiful for everyone. Discover how you can make a big impact with just a few hours a year.
The Lynn Valley Trail is more than just a path; it’s a scenic 10-kilometre link between Port Dover and Simcoe. While the Trail Board and Norfolk County handle the heavy lifting, the secret to a pristine trail lies in the hands of our incredible community.
We are currently looking for volunteers to join our Section Maintenance Team. If you enjoy fresh air, a bit of light gardening, and giving back to your community, this is the perfect role for you!
The trail is divided into ten 1-kilometre sections. As a volunteer, you’ll be responsible for your specific stretch, ensuring it remains welcoming for hikers, runners, and cyclists alike.
Your Role Includes:
Light Trimming: Cutting back small obstructing branches, shrubs, or weeds encroaching on the path.
Litter Pickup: Keeping the trail clean and debris-free.
Observation: Acting as our “eyes on the ground” to report larger issues.
Maintenance doesn’t require a trailer full of power tools! Here is the breakdown of the commitment:

We don’t expect our volunteers to do the heavy work. If you encounter something significant—like a downed tree, bridge damage, trail washouts, or large hanging limbs. Simply visit www.lynnvalleytrail.com and use the “Let Us Know“ tab. We’ll take it from there!
The Lynn Valley Trail Association is incredibly grateful for the local support that keeps our trail running. By spending just a few hours a season on your designated kilometre, you’re helping preserve a local treasure for everyone to enjoy.
